🤔 What Do Disneyland, Japan, the Muppets, and Egypt All Have in Common?

Your Guide to Disney Parks & Experiences

Hello my friend... or should I say Konnichiwa (I'm still thinking about and missing Japan... and slightly jetlagged)!

I hope your week is off to a magical start! I just want to take a moment to thank you – sincerely – for being here. For showing up, sharing your love of Disney (and so much more), and for being part of this amazing WDW Radio family. It means more than you know.

There’s a lot happening this week, and I’m excited to share it with you!

🎙️ On the podcast, last week I was joined by Carlye Wisel to talk about the magic, memories, and surprises of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration... including a very cool, FREE souvenir!

🇯🇵 I’ve also been sharing highlights and unforgettable moments from our recent Adventures by Disney trip to Japan over on Instagram. From temples to takoyaki to DisneySea... and a Godzilla-themed room (?!), it was a trip I’ll never forget – and we shared some stories with you on the podcast this week (# 830). You can of course also listen on Apple Podcasts and Spotify and your favorite podcast players.

📆 Oh, and speaking of Japan (the EPCOT pavilion, not the country), our next Meet of the Month will be on Sat. Jan. 21 at the Japan pavilion. 🏯 Will you be there?

🌍 Speaking of unforgettable adventures… I just announced a brand new Adventures by Disney trip – and this one’s to 🐫 Egypt ⚱️ - From the pyramids of Giza to a Nile River cruise, this 10-day journey is going to be unlike anything we’ve done before. Click here to learn more and secure your spot before it sells out!

🚢 And don't forget that we're also going on a WDW Radio Group Cruise on the Disney Destiny in 2026! 🎉 Check out other in-person events, cruises, meetups, and Adventures by Disney on our Events page

🎭 And as we look ahead, we’re also saying goodbye. Muppet*Vision 3D and the Muppets Courtyard closed on Saturday to make way for something new in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. I’ve been reminiscing about some of my favorite hidden details, memories, and moments in that space (in one of my most liked and commented videos ever!)... and I’d love to hear yours, too.

So tell me... what is YOUR favorite Muppet memory? Was it from MuppetVision 3D? The Muppet Show? Muppet Movie? Days of Swine and Roses (that was a real thing)? Hit REPLY and tell me. I’d love to hear about it, and more importantly, why it means so much to you.

OK, let's keep moving forward...

🌍 Speaking of the Muppets...

My love of the Muppets goes way WAY back... as in going back to the 70's (yes, I am that old) and growing up watching my friends on Sesame Street, to enjoying The Muppet Show with my family, to The Muppet Movie, and evening putting on my own Muppet Movie "live performances" with my brother and handheld Muppet puppets in my grandmother's basement (my apologies to my entire family for making you sit through that).

But I've also loved the Muppets in the Disney Parks, and not only shared a last look at some of my favorite details and Easter Eggs in my Instagram video, but have also done a number of shows about the history of the Muppets in Walt Disney World, including:

I also broadcast last week's WDW Radio LIVE show FROM the Muppets Courtyard, and it includes our conversation about the attraction as well as one, final, live tour of the entire Muppets Courtyard area before we said goodbye. You can watch it on YouTube here

🔴 As for the WDW Radio LIVE show this week, I'm leaving early Wednesday morning for a business conference in Boise, Idaho, and not sure what the schedule will be that evening. So be sure to turn on notifications wherever you watch and chat, whether it's on Facebook or YouTube, and I'll try and go live if I can. Otherwise, I'll be back next week. at 7:30pm on Wednesday night. Promise! In the meantime, you can check out last week's LIVE from Muppet Courtyard!

Thank you, as always, for being part of this community family. I’m truly grateful for your support, your kindness, and the love we share for all things Disney... and beyond.

If the podcast, newsletter, or Clubhouse has brought you a little joy or value, I’d be honored if you’d share it with a friend or leave a quick review – it’s one of the best ways to help our community continue to grow.

Until next time... Choose the Good, be kind, and keep moving forward.

Hey Reader! When you think about Disney movies, you probably think of your favorite characters, the magic, and the music. But if you look a little deeper… there’s something even more powerful behind the stories we know and love: Lessons in Mindset. That’s the real magic behind so many of these movies, and something I believe is just as important in business as any strategy or tool. If you're launching something new, scaling what you've built, or simply trying to figure out your next move,...

5 Things I Re-Learned About Entrepreneurship

Hey Reader! I just got back from Boise after attending Craft & Commerce, a conference hosted by the team at Kit, the email platform I use and love. And let me tell you… it wasn’t just another business event. It was a much-needed reminder. A reminder of why we do this entrepreneurship thing and what moves the needle. Yes, the Idaho potatoes were incredible (seriously), but what I really brought home was clarity and connection. So I wanted to pass that along to you...some quick takeaways I...

Your Guide to Disney Parks & Experiences 🏯 Oh, the Memories… and the Magic! One of the things I love most about Disney is how it creates memories that last a lifetime... from the first time you walk down Main Street, to the stories we share from the ships, screens, and even faraway lands. And this week, we’re diving back into one of the most extraordinary Adventures by Disney I’ve ever experienced. In WDW Radio #832, it’s Part 2 of our 🇯🇵 Journey to Japan Group Adventure Recap... and trust...
